Azerbaijani state television awarded at the international festival in Ukraine

Azerbaijan State Television and Radio Closed Joint-Stock Company (AzTV) was honored with award of TEFI-Sodrucestva for search of novel creative search and original vision at the 1st International TV Festival, which was held in Kyiv (Ukraine).

The festival was dedicated to the 20th anniversary of establishment of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).

It was initiated by the Russian Television Academy Fund and the CIS Interstate Fund for Humanitarian Cooperation.

Because of financial difficulties, some countries were not able to participate in the festival, which was attended by overall of 11 countries.

As far as Azerbaijan goes, 2 films were presented at the festival – “Togrul Narimanbayov” and “Under the Same Sky”.

Along with Azerbaijan, Ukraine, Belarus, Russia and Uzbekistan also have been awarded. Reportedly, the date of the next festival will be determined in May of 2012.
