220px Mahmoud Ahmadinejad Irans president slams HollywoodIran’s president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad expressed his official opinion on Hollywood today, delivering speech at the second International conference on “Hollywoodism and Cinema” in Tehran.

“All those who work in Hollywood push ideas, based on getting maximum of profit and pleasure using any possible methods,” Ahmadinejad said. “We do not expect anything from Hollywood”.

Ahmadinejad noted that people must “deliver truth and facts”, so that “masses would follow up”.

The second International conference on “Hollywoodism and Cinema” has kicked off in Iran’s capital of Tehran, in Iran’s Presidential office, according to local sources.

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, the Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Mohammad Hosseini and his deputy in cinematic affairs Javad Shamaghdari participate in the ceremony, along with a number of cinematic scholars and officials.

About 48 foreign scholars from France, the US, Canada, Belgium, Greece, Spain, Tunisia, Italy, Egypt, Russia, Lebanon, Azerbaijan, Palestine and the UK are taking part in the event.

The conference was scheduled to be held as a sideline program of the 2012 Fajr International Film Festival.
