Central Partnership, biggest Russian film rental company from now on will also produce their own movies, according to company’s executive chief Zlata Polishuk.
She added that the company will be arranging the whole production by itself now.
Central Partnership planned to start their own production back in 2008, however it did not work due to financial crisis.
Today, the decision seems to have been made due to heavy workload – in 2012 Central Partnership is producing 12 feature and television films.
Four of those 12 movies will be shot at Central Partnership’s own studio, while the company plans to completely stop working with contractors in 5-6 years.
Former “Amedia Production” head Dmitry Rudzhentsev became the head of Central Partnership’s new production studio.
Central Partnership has been producing movies since 2002. The company owns an extensive library of rights to films and TV series, and has produced one of the biggest Russian-made blockbusters of recent years.
