Black List of screenplays will be updated in real time from now on

I believe, this article would be of some interest to screenwriters. I stumbled on it on Yahoo, and I don’t know if you’ve read it already, but here’s what it’s about:

The, so-called, black list (annual list of the best unproduced screenplays) will, reportedly, be updated in real time from now on, instead of a single list every calendar year.

The rankings will be updated in real time, providing a rundown of Hollywood’s most liked scripts at any given moment.

Also, a launch of an online members’ community that will make algorithmic screenplay recommendations based on individual users tastes was announced.

At least now, black list aficionados won’t have to wait as long to find out what scripts deserve the green light.

However, there are some restrictions: not everyone can get on and vote. Membership in this newest venture will be a closed community of active Hollywood moviemakers but far larger than the number of eligible voters for the annual Black List, which stands around 500.
