Horror icons Hodder, Berryman, Moseley sign for “Conclave”

berggoetz-mirrorHorror movie icons Kane Hodder, Bill Moseley and Michael Berryman have signed on to play in independent filmmaker Glenn Berggoetz’ film “Conclave”, Berggoetz himself told BZFilm.

“We’ve also signed a Letter of Distribution Intent with Launch TV/Goliath Promotions to distribute the film,” Berggoetz said.

Berggoetz, who is famous for making ”The Worst Movie EVER!” film, that set the all-time box office record for the worst opening weekend in film history, also said that there is a Hollywood producer that is interested in coming on board to raise the money to make “Conclave.”

The script titled “Conclave” is a scathing satire of the papacy that is being compared to films like Monty Python’s “Life of Brian” and the Mel Brooks classic “Blazing Saddles”.

Berggoetz did not reveal any more details on “Conclave”, but said that him and his crew have launched a Kickstarter campaign for “Midget Zombie Takeover II”, the first part of which Berggoetz has also directed.

Berggoetz’ dark comedy “The Ghosts of Johnson Woods” is scheduled for the 2014 release.  The film reportedly has already received interest from distributors who want to continue the run of Berggoetz films that have received theatrical releases.
