Behind the scenes: Making of ED-209 from “Robocop” – VIDEO

“Behind the Scenes” is the second series of BZFilm (the first one was “Villains of the Silver Screen“), which will be updated with various behind the scenes footages and information on how various movies are or were made.

Despite the remake of “Robocop“, there was one robot that a lot of film fans felt attracted to – the chicken-legged “ED-209” robot, created by the Tippett VFX studio.

The Enforcement Droid Series 209, or ED-209, is a fictional robot in the “RoboCop” franchise. The ED-209 serves as a heavily-armed obstacle and foil for RoboCop, as well as a source of comic relief due to its lack of intelligence and tendency towards clumsy malfunctions.

Below is a video footage from a “RoboCop” DVD release about the making of ED-209.
